Gluteals Pic
A lack of recruitment of the Gluteus Maximus is present in many athletes with a history of low back pain, ankle sprain, plantar fasciitis and many other lower quarter injuries. It is undetermined if the dysfunction of the Gluteus Maximus occurred before or after the injury, but this altered motor control pattern exists. In this two hour learning lab you will learn how to assess the characteristics of this poor movement pattern in the athlete and then how to retrain the movement pattern as a method of prevention of injury or rehabilitation after injury. Leave the lab with new mat and foam roller Pilates based exercises to include in athlete exercise programs immediately.
